CONFIDENCE IN HER BEARING. A young woman wearing a large pelerine and identified in the bottom of her separated leather case as "Miss Parish" was seated comfortably for the daguerreian as he created this resealed sixth plate. It was very obvious to anyone who knew good from just adequate that the lady’s maker was certainly not anywhere near the top of the fine art of making dags. His polishing technique was extremely crude and his lens was obviously flawed. The area of softness created by the improperly polished elements was ginormous! Yet, the savvy Miss P still resonated. She was taken circa 1845. There is one copper protrusion on her finger opposite that gold tinted ring!
