HEMMED IN. The colorful patina flowed freely on the surface of the young woman’s resealed sixth plate likeness. She wore a wonderful dress that suggests she might have been taken in the late 1850s. Certainly, her book style leather case with a broad brass latch and the fancy mat were used at the end of the daguerreian era. Nice reflected depth created an added dimension. There is a colony of teeny green specks in the lower left corner on the silver. The teenager tucked either a small pocket watch or a dag locket in the belt that circled her waspish waist.
