EEW-357 Terms of Sale
THE BLUE BADGE . . . On the woman’s dress is a mystery. She held a complacent cute baby on her lap with a pair of fingerless lace gloved hands. Both the lady and the child’s face were tinted. An inscription on a piece of paper glued to the plush red pad inside the case cover tells something about the subjects. “My grandmother holding my mother MHS” was written in brown ink. “1855 about” was later added in pencil. Their maker achieved nice contrast and the retaped sixth plate has great depth. The flaws are as seen in the scan. The leather case is apart.
