Pair of Sixth Plates
D19-163 Terms of Sale
OH YES . . . They were related. The two archivally taped sixth plates were nestled into a double opening leather case with a loose hinge. The girls sat next to each other on wooden chairs. They wore identical dresses and posed similarly with eyes on the camera and hands placed on their legs. A large mold colony is seen at the top in the patina that completely surrounds the kids. Smaller mold growths are also visible on the freckled face of the lad. Nice oxidation also clings to the inside edges of his fancy brass mat that was identical to his sisters. Both likenesses have great reflected depth.
