SPIFFED UP! The clear-eyed boy chose his daguerreian well and the result was this splendid restored sixth plate portrait held in a nice leather case with a repaired hinge. I wonder if that white beaver hat was recently store bought and part of the reason why the dag was taken? Light from the left lit half the lad’s handsome face and a large reflector on the opposite side of the room softened any harsh shadows. The portrait is quite impressive overall with great clarity and deep reflected depth! The patron of the arts floats around in front of the midnight void. Tarnish tickles the inside of the oval brass mat. Faint mold spiders are visible along with teeny specks.
