WHO WAS IT? Slinky curls framed the gal’s freckled face and her clear blue eyes pondered the experience she endured in a makeshift studio circa 1847 when she posed with that open daguerreotype. If only the operator’s lens had been constructed better, we could have deciphered that person. The sharpness of his actual subject was fine. The drape on the left was not used as a reflector since the light source entered the space from that side. Speckled tarnish and a couple mold spiders are on the retaped sixth sized silvered surface. The leather case is complete.
