COLORS . . . Both naturally occurring during the aging process and those that were hand applied when mother and daughter were taken at the beginning of the middle of the 19th century. Two sets of eyes keenly watched the daguerreian as he produced their essences on a newly taped quarter plate that is displayed in a worn brown leather push button case that is in two pieces. Red piping surrounds the subjects and an embossed purple pad is opposite them inside. The lass rested one of her hands on the older woman’s shoulder and held a spring of tinted flowers in her other hand. That was a very large and elegant floral patterned piece of fabric surrounding the lady’s neck and cascading down over her bosom.
