SOMETHING WAS FISHY! It was impossible to realign the brass mat on the perky gal's sixth plate when the restoration was being done because either the piece was realigned a long time ago or the mat had been changed, hence the gap in the tarnish at the bottom of the outstanding likeness. I know that this gal was full of vim and vigor. Her sparkling eyes and soft lips that almost curled up into a smile were indicators that she enjoyed her life. Mom must have spent considerable time tending to her hair. The contrast and details in her white dress were impressive. You can actually see the reflections against the neutral toned backdrop. None of the teeny marks you see hinder the child’s portrait. Her pushbutton leather case is apart. A large urn embellishes the plush pad inside.
