EEW-160. THREE . . . Kids were almost too crowded for their vertical retaped and rapidly cleaned sixth size remembrance. The boldness of the older boy was certainly challenged by his demonstrative sister who stood unafraid and self-confident next to him. Their younger sibling was perched on a small chair and moved her head during the exposure. I have explored the depths of the older children's eyes with a loupe and I believe that they were seated either outdoors or just inside the doorway of a large building. The decorative cloth floating across the top of the silver was placed there to shield the kids from direct sunlight. The rough-hewn handsome teen certainly draws in one's eyes immediately but it is his sister with her arms folded across her chest who steals the scene. There are white specks on the surface and a small "stain" on the lad's forehead that are probably remnants from an earlier cleaning of the silver. A bright deep blue pad contrasts nicely with the subjects inside the full leather case. $145
