| D11-0a. PATINA . . . Is hiding a portion of the little girl's hand and her pet kitty that she held when a resealed sixth plate in a worn full leather case was taken. I think the lady next to the lass was her mother, since she wore a wedding band on her ring finger and also a daguerreian hair bracelet near the end of her dress sleeve. Both females watched their maker perform his magic while the lens was uncapped. The child's face revealed concern, possibly because she worried that the kitten wouldn't remain still. There is one tiny green dot under magnification near mom's white collar. That black streak on her finger was a deep buff mark. The gal wore lengthy slender earrings and held a book style photo case. It is unusual to see animals in formal portraits, especially cats. $800 |
