D02-39. STIFFLY POSED AND POUTING. While it is certainly evident that the girl just doesnt want to have her image made, this sixth plate has tremendous technical qualities with sharp focus, rich tones and fine tinting. It is resealed, has a barely noticeable tiny scratch in the upper right corner and half a dozen nearly invisible, minuscule brown spots. Her white pantaloons and patterned dress along with those hair ribbons help make a great childs portrait. It is in a whole leather case with a motif of a pheasant and grapes, circa 1851. $365
