D01-158. MOTHER'S HELPING HAND. A brother and his sister are sitting side by side in a chair with a footrest. This resealed quarter plate has tarnish following the outline of the mat and a blue haze in the same shape creeping towards the center of the plate. The half case is leather and has a neat circular design in the center. The boy wears a button down coat with two pockets at the hips. His sister's head, covered with cascading curls, is supported from the back by a hand, presumably belonging to their mother. There are fancy tassels that appear to be a shawl hanging from her arm. The surface has spectacular 3-D effects. The kids flesh tones have light tinting. They are resting in the bottom of a leather case. $985
