D06-30. LOOKING AWAY. Doesn't it appear that the sister reluctantly took hold of her brother's hand while they posed for their resealed sixth plate portrait? Then, as the daguerreian uncapped his lens and began to count down the seconds, the gal averted her eyes. I can't explain why the contrast is low on their intriguing portrait. It does not appear to be a copy dag. The relationship between the siblings says that they tolerated each other, although their ages didn't permit any common interests. The girl's body language spoke volumes about her thoughts during the process. She followed instructions yet demonstrated that she was completely in control of herself while the exposure was taken. Were they seated on identical chairs placed tightly together or a small wooden bench? The silver layer has a few mold spiders and an odd gray dot in the drop. Deep blue tarnish flows around the kids. There is surprising reflected depth! The worn case is missing the hinge and some of the leather. $215
