D06-28. GRANNY'S GLASSES. I know, people ask me all the time, why do I buy sixth plate dags like this old woman who have no redeeming value, so to speak! Well, she WAS important to someone once, and although there are ample brown spots and a snowstorm of white specks on the surface of the retaped likeness, I still enjoy her face and the fact that the daguerreotypist was good enough to make the portrait without getting reflections in the lenses of her glasses! She is held in an odd push button wooden case covered with fabric. There is a small vertical narrow silver bar in the center of the cover. The hinge is almost non-existent! $85
