D06-229. ERIN AND I . . . were questioning the relationship of the man and woman presented separately in one leather case that doesn't have a hinge as we peered at them through filthy glass. We were on the dag hunt last week in south central New Hampshire. Erin decided before Casey did the archival restoration that they were husband and wife. Seeing him more clearing now permits me to concur. Both subjects were evenly lit and composed in a similar fashion. Neither person was very animated. The lady was less pleased by the process than her spouse. He was more relaxed. Each image has good contrast and depth. Both sixth plates have narrow dark patina nestled in the undulations of the scalloped brass mats. His surface has mat marks and more mold spiders than hers. $195
