D06-100. A LADY. Her delicately picked brooch, with a ruby red center, radiates like a shining star, nestled there at the crossing of her lace ribbons. The woman had a sturdy frame that was emphasized underneath her simple but elegant dress. She sat with one elbow on a table and softly clasped her large hands in from of her waist. For some reason, those dark eyes that reflected the maker's light source are intriguing. Studying her more directly, I realized that she is leaning backwards slightly. Her body language was altered somewhat from the normal rigidity that we are usually presented with in resealed sixth plates. As you all know, I can only scan one dimension of each dag. If ever there was a likeness that deserves to be held in your hand, she is the one. Both the contrast and reflected depth are outstanding. Did you notice that her maker also etched her ring? A worn leather case in two pieces contains her. One large mold spider and other meaningless flecks are around the sitter. $235
