D04-67. SNAZZY VEST . . . that goes along favorably with the chap's proper tie! If that piece of knotted fabric began to spin in a violent windstorm, I do believe the sitter would be lifted into the air. He must have been a tall drink of water, since his entire posture is very vertical. Admittedly, the shooter did use an in-between composition, not a bust or three-quarter length image. I think that the fellow was so proud of his vest that he insisted that all those lines must be included. The speckling on his forehead isn't as noticeable in the plate, as seen in the scan. I believe that it has been caused by the degradation of a layer of tinting over time. Outstanding focus, fabulous contrast, nice holographic depth (yes, you can see more than one of those checkered vests) and perfect condition create a keeper retaped sixth plate for the next owner. I should add that the mint brown thermoplastic case has a sumptuous royal blue velvet pad with a fancy impression that could have been pressed earlier today. A gorgeous presentation. $295
