D04-137. POUTING BECAUSE... Well, it is obvious why this youngster is in a bitter mood. I mean look at that dress! It's nowhere near the quality of his brother's dress; I'm sure, not to mention his sister's. Don't even get him started on that, it'll just rile him up more than he already is. There is considerable tarnish on this sixth plate, but it frames him nicely and adds to his overall unhappy demeanor. Aside from the oxidation that encroaches and a few white specks, the overall condition of this resealed dag is actually very good. How could you not want to put a smile on the face of such a sullen little boy? After all, he was forced to wear a dress for his daguerreotype. Now, I know that boys wearing dresses back then was not uncommon, but it doesn't mean that they like being dressed up the same as little girls. Lads his age don't like girls as much as they don't like their vegetables. I bet back then kids got along like today's children. If that were the case, then they wouldn't want to be dressed similarly at all. The poor tiny fella is held in a whole case with a design of three flowers on the front and back. $210
