D00-123. WIGGIN BROTHERS! I would like to introduce you to Charlie, he's the older one and his baby brother, Arthur, who is still wearing a dress with pants (thank God) underneath. Charlie is alert and ready for the ordeal of posing for the daguerreotypist while the little guy needed to grasp his brother's arm for moral support. The resealed quarter plate, using the original glass, has an awesome overall brown tone to it. The boy's faces are lifelike and the only thing that mars the surface is that weird round oxidation spot on Arthur. Oh yes, there is a stray buff stroke that appears next to his shoulder also. The patina on the right side is splotchy and there are a few mold spiders in the backdrop. The paper label identifying the brothers is glued to the outside of the glass. The whole leather case has an unusual floral design. $285
