D12-12. AS AN ADULT . . . I wonder if the bubbly babe would have most resembled her attractive mother or suave and sophisticated dad. If the gene pool followed accurately from parents to child, I would wager that their daughter was stunningly beautiful! The impressive family sat in front of a splendid painted scene while a very talented artist captured their likenesses on his copper and silver canvas. Broad but controlled light lit the threesome from above on the left side. A white canvas must have been positioned on the opposite side to soften the shadows. Husband and wife selected a professional daguerreotypist who not only reproduced them in an outstanding quarter size tableau, but he also was an extremely capable technician creating brilliant contrast, rich tonality and holographic depth. I certainly would be remiss not to comment on father's facial hair. An unusual and rarely seen combination throughout the dag era. Obviously the gent was an individualist who had married a beautiful liberal woman. Do YOU know who he was??? Pale shades of blue and red were applied to that magnificent sky while the sitters' faces received a hint of rouge. A complete leather case with an older leather hinge repair completes their package. $695
